DEATH OF AZAM KHAN ...THE BENGALI POP LEGEND
It reminds me with great pleasure that, when we were students at chuadanga VJ high school we used to sing his song and had a small band and did raise money for flood of 1974 and now that he is dead
long live my hero.
A valiant freedom fighter in sector 2 in melaghore and inside Bangladesh with captain haiders striking force and the then give us the 1st taste of ROCK AND ROLL music in BANGLADESH.
MY SALUTE TO YOU AZAM KHAN
''MAY YOU REST IN PEACE.....................''
how has the time passed so quickly is something unimaginable. It seems like the other day. Monnu, Jhontu, Halim, Shahidul, Towhid, Ashraf, Bitul, Hafiz and I used to sit in the gym near the scout room and sing this song so loud that many a time we have had complaints from school authority and that time AZAM KHAN WAS a youth with his big beard and long hair...........a hero to us all and now it has been almost 35 years and still his memories in my mind and heat so fresh and so live.......
may you rest in peace ; my hero............
